FlowTogether ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the FlowTogether mobile application (the "App").
By using FlowTogether, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the App.
Information We Collect
Account Information
- User ID: A unique anonymous identifier for your account
- Gender: Your self-selected gender (woman or man) - required for personalized features
- Name: Optional display name (you may choose not to provide this)
- Partner ID: The user ID of your paired partner (only if you choose to pair)
Health and Wellness Data
For Women:
Cycle Tracking Data:
- Period start and end dates
- Average cycle length (21-35 days)
- Symptom intensity ratings (cramps, mood swings, energy level changes) on a 1-10 scale
Daily Check-In Data:
- Mood (selected from predefined options)
- Symptoms (cramps, bloating, low energy, headache, mood swings)
- Optional notes you choose to share with your partner
- Intimacy/desire level (optional, 1-5 scale)
Preferences:
- What helps during your period (e.g., space, affection, heating pad, comfort food)
- What makes things worse (e.g., being asked if on period, dismissing feelings)
For Men:
Onboarding Data:
- Knowledge level about menstrual cycles
- Biggest challenges in understanding/supporting
- Preferred support style (acts of service, space, physical comfort, etc.)
Daily Check-In Data:
- Observations about partner's mood
- Supportive actions completed
- Optional notes
App Usage Data
- Gamification Data (for men): Mission completion status, XP (experience points) and level progression, achievement badges earned, streak data (consecutive days of mission completion)
- Gratitude Data (for women): Gratitude points given to partner, optional appreciation notes
- AI Chat Messages: Your questions and messages sent to the AI assistant are transmitted to our AI service provider to generate responses. Chat history may be stored locally on your device, but messages are sent to the AI provider's servers for processing.
- Notification Preferences: Which notifications you want to receive, preferred notification times
- App Settings: Appearance mode preference (light/dark/system), notification preferences
Device Information
- Push Notification Token: Device-specific token for sending push notifications
- Timezone: Your device timezone (for scheduling notifications at appropriate local times)
Data We Do NOT Collect
- Email addresses (unless you choose to link an account via Sign in with Apple)
- Phone numbers
- Location data (we only collect timezone, not precise location)
- Biometric data
- Payment information (handled by Apple App Store, not by us)
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:

- • Assign daily missions based on partner's cycle phase
- • Track mission completion and award XP
- • Display achievements and streaks
Improve the App
- • Fix bugs and technical issues
- • Understand how features are used (aggregate, anonymized data only)

How We Store Your Information
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely on cloud servers operated by trusted third-party service providers. We use industry-standard cloud infrastructure to store your user data, check-ins, periods, and app usage data.
Data Security
- Data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard encryption protocols
- Data is encrypted at rest on our cloud storage systems
- Access to your data is restricted to:
- • You (your own data)
- • Your paired partner (only data you choose to share)
- • Our systems (for providing app functionality)
Data Retention
We retain your data until you delete your account. When you delete your account:
- All your user data is permanently deleted
- All your check-ins, periods, and gamification data are deleted
- Your partner relationship is dissolved
- Your data cannot be recovered after deletion
Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
What We Do NOT Do
- We do NOT sell your data to anyone
- We do NOT share your health data with advertisers
- We do NOT use your health data for marketing purposes
- We do NOT share your data with data brokers
- We do NOT use third-party analytics that track health data

We work with trusted third-party service providers to deliver app functionality. These services help us store your data, provide AI features, and send notifications.

- Data Shared: All app data (user profiles, check-ins, periods, gamification)

- Data Shared: Your questions, cycle phase, symptoms, preferences (for context)

- Note: Chat messages are sent to generate responses, but chat history is not stored on the AI provider's servers.

Partner Data Sharing
When you pair with a partner in FlowTogether:
Your partner can see:
- • Your current cycle phase and day
- • Your daily check-ins (mood, symptoms, notes you choose to share)
- • Your period start/end dates
- • Your completed missions (if you're a man)
- • Your gratitude points received (if you're a man)
Your partner cannot see:
- • Your symptom intensity ratings from onboarding
- • Your preferences (what helps/what makes worse) - these are used to personalize tips, not directly shared
- • Your AI chat conversations
- • Your notification preferences
You can unpair from your partner at any time, which will immediately stop sharing data with them.
Your Rights and Choices
Access Your Data
You can view all your data within the FlowTogether app:
- • Your profile information
- • Your cycle history
- • Your check-in history
- • Your gamification progress
Delete Your Data
You have the right to delete all your data at any time:
- Delete Account: Go to Profile → Settings → Danger Zone → "Delete Account"
- This will permanently delete:
- Your user account
- All your check-ins
- All your period data
- All your gamification data
- Your partner relationship
- Data cannot be recovered after deletion
Unpair from Partner
You can unpair from your partner at any time:
- • Go to Profile → Settings → "Unpair from Partner"
- • This stops sharing data with your partner but keeps your data
Control Notifications
You can control which notifications you receive:
- • Go to Profile → Settings → Notifications
- • Toggle individual notification types on/off
Export Your Data
Currently, data export is not available in-app. If you would like to export your data, please contact us at support@minnerlabs.com and we will provide your data in a readable format.
Note: We plan to add in-app data export in a future update.
Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for processing your personal data is:
- Consent: You consent to data processing by using the App
- Contractual necessity: Processing is necessary to provide the App's features
- Legitimate interests: Improving the App and preventing fraud
California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect
- Know if we sell or disclose your personal information (we do not)
- Delete your personal information (via account deletion)
- Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties.
Data Transfers
Your data is stored on cloud servers, which may be located outside your country of residence. By using FlowTogether, you consent to the transfer of your data to these servers.
Children's Privacy
FlowTogether is not intended for users under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:
- Posting the new Privacy Policy on this page
- Updating the "Last Updated" date
- Sending a notification through the App (for material changes)
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes are effective when posted.
